A Baltimore-based real estate investment company is looking for a Desktop Support professional to provide ongoing level 2 support for users on software and hardware and to provide basic computer training and troubleshooting to internal customers. In this role, you will respond and resolve all issues assigned to Desktop Support by level 1 staff; organize, image and deploy new systems as older systems come out of production; package and deploy new software as assigned; escalate trouble tickets to level 3 support as needed; and report issues and trends to management. In addition, you will work on special projects, administer Dell Lease returns, and manage vendors for IT supplies.  You must have expert-level experience with Windows XP/Windows 2000 desktop operating system, working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and SQL Server in a wide-area-network environment, expert-level experience working with all Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access), working knowledge of Citrix Client and general support of Citrix environments, and working knowledge of Blackberry handheld devices. This position also requires a willingness and ability to learn new technology; excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills; the ability to collaborate and work in a team; and the willingness to work non-standard hours and respond to after hours issues as needed.
